Anyway, all I can think about is how I REALLY dislike Coldplay. I usually just don't have an opinion on music that doesn't appeal to me, or I just shrug and say "hmm, nope" but I just can't get over this feeling. I hate Coldplay.
Maybe it was because of the latest issue of Q magazine, where they portray Chris Martin like some kind of tortured saint-like creature, or maybe its because their music makes me feel like I have low blood sugar... Also, their music is very blue, yellow and grey to me. I am a synesthete so don't brush this off as hippie bullshit, even if it is! BUT, blue, yellow and grey music just doesn't generally appeal to me. Its like the band POD. Same colours. Or Huey Lewis and the News. DO NOT WANT.
It's nothing personal against the members of Coldplay. I'm sure they are very happy in their London flats with their macrobiotic wives and Rolls Royce's, and good for them. If I could ever acheive that level of comfort and success from writing my stupid songs then GREAT. Erase this blog. Cheers to you, middle-of-the-road-songwriting. Anyway. I'm really not one to talk, but I just spent 5 minutes on this so fuck it! And fuck you too Coldplay!
it is so true. i never thought about the colours thing until you mentioned it and realized that is exactly what i picture when i hear them. never have been and never will be a fan.
