The Old Grey Whistle Test

My mom got me a DVD of the Old Grey Whistle Test many years ago, and as time go by I slowly start to love and appreciate more of the artists they had on the program. One of which is the New York Dolls. I am watching their performance right now, which reminded me of one of the worst days of my life. Sitting on a hotel bed, New Years Eve, half drunk on red wine watching Much More Retro. Who comes on? Buster Poindexter. Hot Hot Hot. I say: "fuck I hate this song" and my friend Travis says "Can you believe that's David Johansen?"
I then proceed to die twice inside and shed a little tear; how could I not have known this? I guess I'm grateful, as I had already enjoyed years of the Doll's music without this HEAVY BURDEN. Still... The song "Personality Crisis" has been given a whole new meaning.

Also, lets just take a moment to worship Brian Eno. Look at this performance. LOOK AT ENO. Just look at him. I wish I was a man so I could dress like a woman.
